How the MF Hotel Lock System Works
At its core, the MF Hotel Lock System relies on radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology, using 13.56 MHz Mifare cards as the primary access credential. These cards store encrypted digital data that communicates seamlessly with the lock’s reader—simply tap the card near the lock, and the door unlocks in seconds. Unlike traditional magnetic stripe cards, Mifare technology offers superior encryption (AES-128), making unauthorized duplication nearly impossible. This encryption extends to all system interactions, ensuring that access logs, card programming, and remote commands remain secure from hacking or interception.
The system operates on a centralized management platform, where hotel staff can program, activate, or deactivate cards in real time. From the front desk, a housekeeper’s card can be restricted to specific floors during their shift, a guest’s card can be set to expire upon check-out, and emergency access can be granted to security teams instantly—all without physical key exchanges or lock rekeying.
